Amongst those in the front row at this year’s Whitehouse Graduate Exhibition & Parade in Sydney were Akira Isogawa, Alistair Trung, Pip Edwards of Sass & Bide, as well as a number of Fashion Editors from both online and print magazines. Whitehouse has been wowing industry since the first cohort of Fashion Designers sent their collections down the runway in 1988. Notable graduates of Whitehouse include internationally renowned fashion designers Rachel Gilbert, Camilla Freeman-Topper of Camilla & Marc, Daniel Avakian and Yeojin Bae, as well as Project Runway contestants Alison Davis (Series 1) who now works for Marc Jacobs in New York, Lauren Vieyra (Series 2) who is working for Cue, Nerida Bourne and Rachael Perks (Series 3).
Ecco Domani means “here’s tomorrow,” and we look toward the future for both our wines and the world around us. In support of innovation in the fashion industry, the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation (EDFF) is dedicated to supporting the careers of aspiring fashion designers. Each year, the EDFF awards a $25000 grant to seven fashion designers to present a runway show at New York Fashion Week. These designers represent the future of fashion, and many Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation winners have gone on to have successful careers in the fashion industry.
The twelve fashion design units which were finalists in Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ contest join a group of designers in fashion product and development, who are presenting their creativity of fashion with colours and fine garment texture of materials especially for Spring/Summer 2012 on the 4th of July, 2011 at HKCEC, the fashion show is demonstrated with the beauty of lighting, its colouring and reflecting on the stage, panels and a triangle shape of catwalk runway by KaCaMa design Lab of Lighting, specializes in products made of recycled materials.
