I found out fashion trends such as navel piercings and "catsuits" were popular in 1991-1992 or generally the 90′s, but I was looking for something specifically in 1996. Seeing as how I was only a little kid at the time, I was totally oblivious to trends ^^;;. Would anyone mind filling me in? Lists or links would be much appreciated, please and thank you :] !

i was in 6th grade in 1996 and i remember these things being in style but this was also cause i was punk rock…

decorating backpack/jeans with safety pins and studs
creepers (shoes)
doc martens (shoes)
bomber jackets (WAY in style)
flannel and anything else "grunge" — just think of the show "my so called life" — google it and you will probably see some pics of that style
also google "blossom" the show and that will show you some more stuff

that’s about all i remember way back when.

edit: leotards were also really in style. the previous year bell bottoms were really in. i remember my 5th grade pic i was all hippie-d out. crazy to go from that to punk… thats childhood i guess
